The Central Cooperative of Private Forests is recognised by the ARIB

The Central Cooperative of Private Forests is a producer group recognised by the ARIB since 2015. This means that our members comply with uniform mandatory forest management rules. Moreover, the associations belonging to the Metsaühistu® network comply with their own established service standard.

As an approved producer group, the Central Cooperative of Private Forests has received subsidies for the creation and development of the producer group in various years (Rural Development Plan 2014–2020 measure 9.1).

The subsidies have been used to increase the existing capacity:

• A common quality label Metsaühistu® has been created
• Common marketing and communication activities are being developed
• Common IT solutions are used across the associations.

The aim of the development activities is to provide high-quality services related to the use and protection of the forests for the members of the associations, i.e. private forest owners in Estonia. The wider aim is to develop joint private forest related activities in Estonia.
